Update on Testing Clinic Results
We expect to be able to provide a summary of the number of tests administered and the number of positive results from the recent testing clinics on 1/5/2021 and 1/12/2021. As of Wednesday 1/13/2021, we are still awaiting those results summaries. We will pass along that information as soon as we receive it from the healthcare organizations. In the meantime, the most up-to-date data on COVID-19 testing results at the State and county level is available on the SCDHEC COVID-19 Testing & Projections page:

Upcoming Free COVID-19 Testing Events
We are hosting drive-up COVID-19 testing clinics at Monticello. There are also other options for getting tested in our area. Here are a few of the upcoming free drive-up testing clinics:
(administered by SRH at the Mims Recreation Center)
(administered by AAMC at Monticello)
(administered by AAMC at Monticello)
(administered by AAMC at Monticello)
We expect to hold additional testing clinics at Monticello, and we will continue to promote them through e-blast and NeighborLink as in the past. We are grateful for the community support and for everyone continuing to follow the recommended precautions. We’ll get through this, and we’ll emerge stronger together.

COVID-19 Community Update – 12/15/2020
/in COVID-19 /by Savannah Lakes VillageDear SLV owners,
We are continuing to carefully watch and adjust to COVID-19 cases in around our two-state region as well as locally. The following includes several important updates, so please read carefully.
We hosted another COVID-19 testing site at the Monticello parking lot today (12/15/2020) through SC DHEC and Abbeville Area Medical Center. Based on unofficial counts, 480 people were tested earlier today. This was a record number of tests administered. We thank everyone who came out to be tested, which will help SLV, SCDHEC and others to make decisions as we continue to navigate daily through the COVID-19 period. We will report on the results of this latest testing site as soon as results are made available from the lab.
Unfortunately, as we have seen an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in McCormick County, we have also had a few active cases in our SLV Village Office. Through contact tracing and following all safety measures, we have no reason to believe that exposure was extended to SLV owners or other visitors through the Village Office. We continue to disinfect our office (and all facilities) and follow all safety protocols. Through remote working by those who must quarantine and reshuffling of those who are not in quarantine, we have been able to minimize impacts to our services, while also caring for our team members who have been affected by the virus and quarantine requirements. Although our office is open (masks required), we encourage you to call the office at (864) 391-4116 for all business that could be conducted remotely. We also appreciate the thoughts and prayers for those affected. All DHEC protocols continue to be in place and we are confident that normal operations will resume by early next week.
Additionally, all previously reported adjustments and safety protocols that have been made to SLV services remain in effect. The clubs are offering patio counter service and curbside pickup, but remain closed to indoor dining. Please continue to wear masks as per the McCormick County ordinance and as we respectfully ask and remind through signage at the entrance to all SLV facilities. As we work to close out 2020, we look forward to a post-COVID-19 environment in the months ahead — getting back to all the social programs and events that help to make SLV such a great place to live. In the meantime, let’s all renew our resolve to help keep each other safe and well.

Kirk Smith

COVID-19 Community Update – 9/29/2020
/in COVID-19 /by Savannah Lakes VillageWe were informed this afternoon of three additional active cases of COVID-19 within Savannah Lakes Village. Those who tested positive are in contact with those who could have potentially been exposed to COVID-19. As in the other few cases we have seen, we appreciate the quick action by these owners that demonstrates their concern for others in SLV. We pray for their speedy recovery.
We are sharing this very latest information with our community as a reminder that although cases in our community have been very low to date, we still remain at risk during this COVID-19 period. If you have received notification that you came in close contact to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, SC-DHEC recommends the following (these are the same procedures we follow for team members in the workplace):
Now is the time for us all to continue safe practices of social distancing and wearing of face coverings when social distancing is not feasible. We also ask that all members continue to wear face coverings when entering all SLV facilities. Our service teams are continuing to follow recommended guidelines, including the wearing of face covering when social distancing is not achievable, and following all other practices including pre-shift temperature checks.
Let’s all continue to take the virus seriously and follow all CDC guidelines — not only for the health and well-being of our own households, but also for our beloved neighbors and team members.
Yours in Service,
Kirk Smith
