The McCormick County Chamber of Commerce recently co-awarded SLV and the Savannah Lakes Real Estate and Development Center with the Award of Excellence for Business. The presentation of this award was quite a surprise to SLV representatives in attendance and to representatives from the Development Partner. Village, Windfall earn Chamber’s Business Award of Excellence
Savannah Lakes Village and Savannah Lakes Village Real Estate and Development were named the McCormick Chamber of Commerce’s Business Award of Excellence winner last Thursday evening at the chamber annual meeting.
The alliance between the Village and the development group is coordinating financial and material benefits to existing and new residents, builders, realtors and brokers, county government, business and residents.
“We are not selling lots…We are selling complete home packages, and we look forward to giving annual progress updates.”
“The acquisition of the resort peninsula and redevelopment plan is designed to provide a sound basis for effective marketing, residential sales, transitional and commercial housing for residents, tourists and guests and lake front dining and recreation,” said Chamber Executive Director Charlotte Tallent.
Robert Bradley and Jim Walsh of the SLV Windfall Group said they had renovated four of the existing town houses and have a goal to built up to 300 new homes annually. The group has created a new website, SavannahLakesVillage.com
“We are not selling lots,” said the pair, who have relocated from Boston. “We are selling complete home packages, and we look forward to giving annual progress updates.”
The current concept calls for the existing lodge to be torn down and four new buildings of four stories each to be built. They will contain 80 new homes for residents, investors, and stay-and-play use.
Plans call for groundbreaking this year. Bradley and Walsh said that county council and the Savannah Lakes Village Board of Directors had been very helpful.
“The opportunities for recruitment and hiring for talented staff by both the Village and Windfall will be necessary to implement marketing, development, sales, and commercial and construction efforts,” Tallent said.
“These two entities have worked together diligently for the past nearly three years to overcome difficult obstacles. Kudos to Village Board President Ray Tarnosky, Chief Operating Officer Kirk Smith and Windfall’s Robert Bradley and Jim Walsh.
“Their collaborative accomplishment of significant economic and business development under extraordinary circumstances will have a continued and positive and enduring impact on future residential construction, population growth, commerce, recreation, tourism and employment in the entire county,” Tallent said.
